Broccoli, Protect Against Cancer

Broccoli is rich in antioxidants and specific elements that protect against cancer.

Broccoli protects against cancer by being a vegetable rich in beta carotene and vitamin C, nutritional antioxidants have been shown in numerous studies to have a great capacity to prevent the growth of malignant tumors.

Also has in its composition three elements with anticancer capacity such as: indole (indole-3-carbinol), sulforaphane and phenilisotiocianate.

Broccoli also acts as a protector of benzopyrene (which is a carcinogenic element that originates from combustion processes: car exhaust, cigarettes, stoves, etc).

How it works?
The mechanism which exerts this effect is based on the ability sulforaphane and indoles (indole-3-carbinol,) of inhibiting tumor growth by increasing the activity of certain enzymes which are dedicated to ridding the body of some officers carcinogenic or block its action.

The presence of fiber and vitamin C may also have a synergistic effect in protection against carcinogens.
